What I've learnt in maths.

GRIDS it was really fun doing grids and volume!!!

   My favorite part of maths was volume so i'm going to be talking about volume.
The first time we were learning about volume was when we had to build a rectangular prism and we had to guess the volume.As the other days past we started using these boxes and we had groups that had to measure different boxes.Everyday people tried their best to figure out the volume.Mrs Moore told some groups they can use the calculator and some groups will say no we want to work the volume out on our own and Mrs Moore was really proud of them.Then came the day for the final answers.I was nervous because i didn't know if my estimate was right...OR...wrong.When it came to my groups turn we got our length,width and height right.Then Mrs Moore asked us "how many cubes can fit into your box"Paea's guess was 352 and me and Jesfalleys guess was 252,Who was right...ME AND JESFALLEY WOOHOO!!! I was so happy because my estimate was right .Then we had a couple of other people do it and Most of them got it right.At the end we had to figure out what box was the biggest and what box was the smallest.We were finding out the smallest to biggest box.My estimate was...WRONG because my estimate was b,d,c,a,g,h,f,e.

Dear snow white.

   Dear Snow white it’s sleeping beauty here.

I’ve just finished reading your book but there are some things you have problems with.Firstly Walking in woods BY YOURSELF!!! you could've got  eaten by a wolf.

Second going into a STRANGER'S house and sleep on their beds. Do you wanna be the next Goldilocks?Who taught you to go into a stranger's house? The stranger would've been a killer you’re lucky they were dwarves.

Third not listening to instructions.Grumpy told you everything you

need to do but you 

didn't listen.Why would you let a ugly,scary,weird old creep in the house and why

would you want to taste an apple why wouldn't you just taste the apple pie.

1.The things I did like was that you were kind.

2.You helped the dwarves.

3.Neat and tidy.

4..Cleaned the mess.

My questions are:What did it feel like when you slept for ages?

Why don’t you listen to instructions?

Why  didn't you just taste the pie?

why do you talk to strangers?

Why did you eat the apple?

If i would rate this book it would be a 7 out of 10 due to the problems.

Jump rope for heart day.

Jump rope for heart day.

On Thursday the twenty eighth of may we did jump rope for heart day.

                               We were supporting the heart foundation.

We had a station where we had to have buddy's.

We had relays

                                  We also had other stations that involved hula hoops .This last station
                               is the group station .It is where  we jump as a group.

                          My favourite station was the buddy station because I learnt some interesting Skipping skills
                                                                   that we can do with a buddy.
                                       My big question:Is anybody going to be a pro at skipping in the future.

                         

Samoan language week

                            On Friday the 29th of may we had a Samoan language week assembly.
T                               They were showing pride when they were doing their performances.

    They showed us Samoan dancing and shared speeches.This is room 9 doing their singing and dancing.
They were singing loud and clearly. A little boy said a speech and  liked they way he said  loud  and proud.

                             Presley and Hermione were  sharing a speech about Samoan language
                            and why its important to them.They also talked about keeping their language alive.

                    After that Faiupu and Presley did a Samoan slap dance they were slapping very
                                                   fast and I love how they smiled brightly.

                                   At the end of the assembly they sung a beautiful song.
                                 My favourite part of the song was when the boys echoed.
   It was really fun at the assembly when they were showing us different things about their culture
                                 I know that they are Samoan and they are loud and proud.

                     

                                                                   

Speech recognition.

           This morning a man named James showed us a cool new tool called speech recognition.
                                                            We used it to comment on a blog.

It was super awesome and cool.What we were doing was we were talking to our Chromebooks like they were stupid but I didn't think my Chromebook was stupid.

The first thing we did was made a new document and named it.

Then we went to Add -Ons.Once were on add ons we clicked on Get add ons.

Then we searched for speech recognition then we installed  speech recognition.

The thing I learnt was instead of typing on your chrome book you can use speech recognition.

My favourite thing about speech recognition was when you say your sentence it Just comes on to your document.
